Korona Handball Kielce
Since 2013 we have been systematically developing women's handball in the Świętokrzyskie region.
History and tradition
Korona Handball Association has been running systematic handball training for girls since 1 August 2013. Sessions take place almost year-round, and participants eagerly take part in club training as well as sporting competition at events and tournaments.
Achievements
Since 2014, players have been winning medals at the Polish Championships and being called up to national squads. The strong work with young players has resulted in a senior team built mainly on athletes from Kielce and the Świętokrzyskie region. The club's women's team is currently the only one from Kielce and the region competing in the ZPRP Women's Central League.
Organisational experience
Association staff have experience organising sports training within competitions and tournaments both as hosts and away, in cooperation with the City of Kielce, the Świętokrzyskie Marshal's Office and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
Training and competition
Korona Handball Association currently trains over 130 girls across various age categories. The players train daily and compete in all age categories in WZPR and ZPRP competitions. In recent years they have won, among others: gold at the Polish Junior Championships, gold and silver at the Polish Under-Junior Championships, gold and silver in the ZPRP Youth Cup, a bronze medal in 2024 and a gold medal in 2025.
Development and partnership
The Association continually develops new handball groups and promotes regular sport and a healthy lifestyle. Since 2025 it has cooperated with the City of Kielce on voluntary activities — players regularly support social and sporting initiatives in the city.
